Assistant Property Manager

Real Property Management – Urbandale, IA

We are currently hiring for an Assistant Property Manager!  The right candidate is responsible for providing clients with top-tier customer service and excellence in management services. The Assistant Property Manager should be able to create trust with owners and tenants (both current and prospective), as well as contractors and other vendors. The Assistant Property Manager instills confidence in our services by taking world-class care of the properties we manage and the people that own and rent them.

They are responsible for direct interaction with prospective and current Residents and some of the daily activities include:

  • Preparing advertisements and showing schedules for available properties
  • Managing property leasing and showing activities.
  • Management of tenancy applications and agreements
  • Onboarding of tenants and interaction throughout tenancy
  • Conducting periodic inspections of managed properties
  • Assisting General Manager with other duties as assigned.


  • Real Estate License Required (or in process)
  • Competency in Landlord/Tenant laws in the State of Iowa preferred
  • Some experience in Sales/Marketing or a service-related industry
  • Technologically proficient
  • Local area knowledge

The Assistant Property Manager is highly organized with strong time management skills and an understanding of prioritization. Naturally driven to provide excellent customer service and to instill trust, the Assistant Property Manager is a natural communicator with good negotiation skills, the ability to work independently, and a professional demeanor. The Assistant Property Manager should have the ability to show properties during normal business hours as well as evenings and weekends if necessary. This is a salary, based on experience and licensing, plus bonus position.
